Separating your Candid products from Shopify
There are a number of ways to do this, but the most straightforward is to create these products within Shopify with the following settings:
- Unavailable on all sales channels. This hides them in webstore, POS, Facebook, etc. - but Candid can still access them. Step by step instructions here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/add-update-products#make-products-available-on-your-sales-channels
- (Optional) Some kind of prefix or suffix like "WS" so they're easy to distinguish from regular products.
Once this is done, refresh your browser and double-check that these products are, in fact, hidden on all of your sales channels (including your website's "Search" results page). Shopify gives developers a lot of freedom when it comes to theme design, and it's possible your individual theme is doing something "clever" that's causing these unavailable products to still show up. When you next visit or refresh Candid, these wholesale-only products should now be available for adding to your Candid Collection.
