Updating orders via API

Getting Started

You will need to have your API connection established and tested before orders can flow between Candid and your 3PL destination.


How does it all work?

Individual orders will not sync across your API connection until you explicitly send them. In Candid, once an order has been finalized, navigate to the Shipping & Delivery tab, where you'll see the status of the order's shipment(s):


The Ready to Ship and Send Shipment buttons will now send the order to your connected shipping provider, where it will automatically move between states like "Awaiting Shipment", "Shipped", etc. depending on what you do in Candid (individual descriptors vary by platform). Conversely, when you manually change the shipment's status in the connected shipping provider, this will update the order in Candid.


Note: Candid shipments will only be sent via API once the Ready to Ship button has been toggled on:
