How to set shipping and payment terms
In your seller account, you have the ability to set shipping terms at both the catalog collection level, and at the customer level. You can use a combination of either of these settings, since individual customer settings will override catalog collection settings and not affect other customers. We will go over some these different options below.
How to find shipping and payments settings
Shipping terms and order minimums can be set at the catalog collection level, which means those settings will automatically apply to any orders placed from that collection.
These settings can be found on the Customize Catalogs page:
Shipping and payment terms can also be set for individual customers, which will override any catalog collection settings. Customer settings can be found under individual customer records on your Customers page:
How to set shipping and payment terms at the collection level
Head to your Customize Catalogs page. If you have more than one catalog collection, select the collection from the drop-down list (seen in the image below) that you would like to apply the settings to:
Then click on the Shipping & Terms or Minimums area:
How to set shipping and payment terms for individual customers
Shipping and payment terms can also be set for individual customers, which will then override any previously created catalog collection settings (just for that customer). You can change customer settings via your Customers page by clicking into individual customer records:
On an individual Customer Details page you can also edit:
- order minimums
- discounts
- price lists
- taxes
- default shipping fees
- default payment terms
- and more!
