How to duplicate or copy a product

A handy feature in Candid is the ability to make a copy of an existing product so that you can modify the copied product. Any product in your account can be copied and used to create completely new products to add to your wholesale catalog(s).

This feature can come in handy if you have any of the following situations:

• You have products that you sell differently for wholesale than you do on your connected ecommerce site
• You want to duplicate a product so that you can quickly create a new range of similar products just for wholesale
• You have products that you want to sell in case or bulk packs

To get started, head to your Products page and find the item you want to copy. If you know the exact name of the product you can use Search & Filter to quickly find it.

Next, click on the name of the product:

In the screen that opens up, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. Then click on Duplicate Product:

Now that you have copied the product you can either close or archive the original product.

Note: Only archive the original product if you no longer want to use it or want it removed from your general product list. You can always bring archived products back if you change your mind.

Notice that you will now see two products and one will say Copy:

You can now open the product that says "Copy" and modify it how you like. In the example below we have turned the copied product into a bulk case pack:
